Jazz musician, improvisational musician, composer (drums, percussion, trumpet)
While studying at Kwansei Gakuin University, Yasuhiro Yoshigaki began performing professionally in the Kansai jazz scene. Influenced by improvisation, folk music, and various other performance styles in addition to jazz, he formed "Sights" with Hiroshi Ohara and Hiroshi Funato, and "Altered States" with Kazuhisa Uchihashi and Mitsuru Nasuno. He also leads his own salsa band "Los Rumberos" and the jazz unit "First Edition". He joined "Modern Choki Chokies" before moving to Tokyo. Since the mid-1990s, he has been a member of prominent jazz and avant-pop groups, including "Shibusashirazu", Otomo Yoshihide's "Ground Zero", "ONJQ", "ONJO", "ROVO", and Kikuchi Naruyoshi's "Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden".

He is currently a member of the trance rock band ROVO, the improvisation unit Altered States, ONJQ, Undercurrent4, GUSH and El Tempo, as well as the large-format jazz group Orquesta Libre, the percussion ensemble "Orquesta Nudge! Nudge!", bombastic jazz "Emergency!", ethnic progressive ensemble "Vincent Atmicus", piano trio "On The Mountain", cosplay free jazz band "MoGoToYoYo", He also runs the hardcore jazz unit "iKnoW Electric Re-Bop Double Band", the trance rock group "Yoshigaki Hosomi Iga Yoshida", the lofty jazz group "Limited Edition", and "Tales Of Another" with Akira Ishii and Takashi Seo. In Orquesta Libre, he continues to collaborate with unique musicians such as ROLLY, Yoichiro Yanagihara, Sugadairo, and RONxII. He also conducts rhythm ensemble workshops in Tokyo with "Orquesta Nudge! Nudge!" and in Kansai with the "Kansai Rhythm Ensemble".
He has also contributed to theatre productions (including Bungakuza), film and television soundtracks (notably NHK's "Amachan" and the historical drama "Idaten"), and collaborative projects with dance companies such as Co. Yamada Un.
Since the 1990s, he has performed at numerous jazz and contemporary music festivals in Europe and the US, including the Moers Jazz Festival and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and has collaborated with a wide range of musicians from Japan and abroad.
